FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARE YOUR SURFBOARDS FUNCTIONAL?

Unfortunately no. As amazing as it would be to have the ability to physically surf on them, they are art pieces only.

We won't go into the multiple reasons why this isn't possible, lets just say the laws of physics won't allow it.

ARE YOUR SKATEBOARD DECKS FUNCTIONAL?

Yes, they are 100% functional if you choose to ride them.

DO YOU KEEP STOCK OF BOARDS TO PURCHASE IMMEDIATELY?

Most of the time...no.

Each surfboard or skateboard deck is custom made to specific specs for each client, so its rare that an extra board or two will be made without it being a commission piece for a client or art gallery.

There are several art galleries both in Australia and overseas where you can view and purchase Hardwood Tides surfboard art pieces.

These include Seaview Art Gallery (Moffat Beach, Australia), Nissarana Art Gallery (Noosa, Australia), and Enchantress Freeborne Gallery (Maui, Hawaii, USA).

DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?

Yes, to almost any country worldwide.

HOW LONG DO YOUR BOARDS TAKE TO MAKE?

On average around 6 weeks from the point at which the timber is sourced and layouts are created and approved by the client.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR TIMBER?

There are several Australian based suppliers used.

All timber is sustainably sourced mostly from private properties, from trees that have died long ago and efforts are made to ensure no animals are inhabiting trees.

Their removal is crucial to the habitat for re-vegetation, clearing of areas for re-planting of new trees, and reducing bush fire risks in dry arid areas.

All timbers are either naturally dried for years before being used in woodworking projects, or kiln dried for months before being moisture tested before use.

HOW CAN I DISPLAY MY HARDWOOD TIDES SURFBOARD ART OR SKATE DECK?

Hardwood Tides uses and recommends Ghost Racks to display surfboard art pieces or skateboard decks.

They can be custom made to suit your application and are manufactured to the highest quality in Australia.
